The Biomechanical Ankle Platform System (BAPS Board) is scientifically designed to allow only anatomically proportionate motion. Therefore it will not over stress some components while under stressing others. Orthopedic, biomechanical and neuromuscular components all receive appropriate amounts of clinically controlled stress to allow the safest and fastest possible return to maximum functional performance.
Provides accurate clinically controlled closed chain rehab and conditioning for the lower limb.
The BAPS Board is appropriate for patient populations with "gait disorder" indications. Those includes foot and ankle problems, Achilles, knee and Patella-Femoral dysfunctions, quads, hip and even some Sl and low back pain patients. Add to that list those patients who are neuro involved or the so-called "balance disorder" patients. Patients of all ages and activity levels can benefit from the enhanced ROM, strength and proprioception available through a BAPS rehabilitation program.
BENEFITS:
- "Closed chain" for simultaneous strength, ROM and neuromuscular rehabilitation at multiple joints
- Biomechanically consistent with anatomical ROM so all components are stressed proportionately to anatomically available ROM
- Adjustable levels of ROM for functionally progressive rehab
- Resistive weight training capabilities included for strengthening programs or for passive assistance to achieve ROM
- Appropriate for rehab as well as for functional assessments, pre-activity screenings and conditioning programs.
- Enhances biomechanical ROM and functional neuro-muscular balance
FEATURES:
- Product is light weight, portable yet very durable
- exerProgressively sized pivot balls for increasing amounts of ROM
- Two weight rods for weight placement on the BAPS
- Five weight rod socket locations for specific weight training
- Clinical protocol manual
APPLICATIONS:
Most lower limb dysfunctions, including sports injury, post- op and post-plaster rehab, knee rehab including ACL and Patella-Femoral dysfunction, post-stroke, thigh, hip and trunk rehabilitation in all patient population groups.
